Very little child enjoys doing homework. Homework can be especially difficult for a child with ADHD. Homework that might take another student an hour can take you two, three, or more.
Your child's day does not have to be ruined by homework. And you don't have to become a stressed-out, nagging parent as a result of it. A routine can help your child stay focused and on track.
Station
Choose one location where your youngster can accomplish his or her schoolwork every day.
Break Time
Instead of one hour, break it up into three 15-minute sessions with leisure or a sandwich in between.
Schedule
Plan your studies around your medication.
Reward
Use incentives to motivate.
Make a backup plan. Speak with your child's instructor.
